Poor Pecos wandered the streets for about three weeks without food or water until he was picked up by animal control. He was dirty and very, very thin.
Fortunately STLRR stepped in and this charming young Yellow fellow was rescued and has moved into his new foster home.
He is about 3 years old and sweet as they come. Despite his condition he has a heart of gold and just wants to please.
He's enjoying the company of his Lab foster brothers and sisters and getting settled in.
Pecos needs to gain about 10 pounds and be treated for heartworms before he will be ready for his new home.
Pecos is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT THIS TIME and he will NOT be ready to meet adopters until mid-June.
Check back as we will update his status as soon as he receives a clean bill of health from our Veterinarian!!
