My name is Happy and although I am new to the STLRR website, I have been in the program since this past Summer when I was picked up as a stray in terrible condition. I was found wandering around a gas station with a collar that would certainly have embedded itself into my neck had I not been rescued, my skin was terribly infected and I had very little hair. It is not a good feeling to watch as countless people pass by with barely a glance to help an animal such as myself who was very much in need. Lucky for me, a nice lady
and her daughter called me over, offered me water and a yummy bbq sandwich
before loading me up and taking me home.
It has been a rough road for me but I am happy to announce that my skin is healing and I now have hair! While I may not look like much in my photos, it is an enormous improvement and I know I will be a beautiful young pup again soon! I
love to interact with my foster family and get along well with other dogs
too. Although I love my temporary family, I can’t wait to find a home to
call my very own. A home that will love me unconditionally and never, ever
turn a blind eye to my needs. I am around 1 year of age, heartworm
negative and dashingly SWEET.
UPDATE 3/5/12-Happy is doing so much better. Her hair is growing in nicely. She continues to receive her Advantage Multi treatments and she is really starting to shine and turn into the beautiful Labrador she had always dreamed of becoming. Her foster mom raves about her uber sweet personality.
Please consider letting this beautiful girl into your heart and home!
