Adoption Process: An APPLICATION TO ADOPT, may include: (1) A phone interview for the applicant, his/her veterinary and/or personal references. (2) A review of the application by the STLRR Board for final approval. STLRR operates on an all volunteer basis, and we are not always able to complete applications as quickly as quickly as prospective adopters would like. If you are approved to adopt, you will be invited out to meet with the dogs available for adoption which may be in foster homes or kennels. Please be aware that we cannot promise that a particular dog who caught your eye will be available until the application process is completed. The adoption process involves some time and effort, but be patient....we want to ensure that we match you with the right dog. Once a match has been made, we will execute an Adoption Contract, and collect the adoption fee.

Adoption Fee: $500
Transport Fee: $250
STLRR is happy to adopt out dogs and
puppies from our program to out of
State families. We have an excellent
transport group that safely delivers our
pups from Texas to the PNW and beyond.
All dogs and puppies traveling to out
of state families will have a health
certificate performed by our Veterinarian
within 10 days of travel.
